It’s a new hotel and still needs some fine tuning. Some staff lacked finesse and proper training such as housekeeping not making sure room had a tv remote which was missing upon arrival and not properly making bed with big enough sheets to tuck in etc. Towels, coffee & milk were not replenished and the beef burger I had was not good at all and served completely plain - just an over-cooked dry meat pattie in a brioche roll with no sauce or garnishing. Waiter / barman said that it’s normal but manager on duty the next day said it’s not. As for the rooms they’re modern & compact and comfy but the bathrooms are very small approx 4m2. Overall the hotel is new and clean but needs improvement to reach proper four star status. On the plus side I really enjoyed and appreciated the great service and friendly attitude from both the Greek Maria’s at reception, Stacey on the phone at guest services and the bubbly helpful manager on duty, Mackenzie! She was very professional and empathetic in listening to my feedback. They helped make my stay a lot more pleasant and comfortable! They’re definite assets to this hotel as it transitions and settles into a solid four star property with 5 star service and comfort!
Dark room, poorly lit, really hard chairs and bed - like sleeping on a surfboard.Poor tv reception spoiled tv. viewing. Not a great part of town - quiet, run down buildings with graffiti and more police series can be gear through the evening than other hotels I’ve stated at in Manchester. On the positive side: friendly reception staff, nice (but v small) bathroom, decent sized room and plenty of storage space for clothes etc for a week long business trip.
Bright modern, newly opened hotel with good facilities. It is on the cusp of the Northern Quarter which is a little bit edgy in parts, but the area is being transformed with building works in abundance. These did not interfere with our stay. The staff were lovely and the rooms very comfortable. Everything worked. Great freshly cooked breakfast. Mixed clientele: tourists, business folk, concert goers and those visiting relatives. There appeared to be a chocolate Easter bunny conference in progress on our second visit. I would be very happy to return.
An excellent location within walking distance of a number of points of interest, staff were excellent very efficient both at the reception and at breakfast. Our room was clean and tidy with certainly enough space for our two day stop. There is little or no noise from other rooms, this is a huge positive. Breakfast was good not the worlds largest selection but certainly was well cooked and presented. The hotel is very well presented inside with everything in good order. The hotel is located in an area with a large amount of building work currently ongoing but this does not detract from the experience once you are inside. Overall very good and if you add in the price point excellent.
I stayed here last night for work and had a lovely ‘crisp’ stay (efficient, clean, comfy). I didn’t have the breakfast so I can’t comment on that but the staff were friendly and made me feel very welcome. The amps are of the reception / bar area.
