We went for 2 nights included £25 allowance for dinner and a bottle of prosecco the hotel has lots of history due to its age before dinner we went to the bar there was a young lady on her own serving she is a real asset to the hotel sorry I don't know her name all the staff were helpful and professional
Took my partner to Tre-Ysgawen Hall for his birthday, and to be honest the stay was a little disappointing from the start.I had paid in advance, and was then told on arrival that the hotel needed to take an extra £30 for breakfast, even though it said on the booking that breakfast was included in the price I had already paid. I asked that they look into this as it didn't seem right to me.They looked into it that afternoon, and we were initially delighted as we were told by one of the receptionists that we would not need to worry about paying for breakfast, as it was their mistake. The next morning (after we'd been for breakfast) they went back on their word, and we were made to pay the extra £30.The other disappointing element was that we had no hot water in our room on the first day of our stay, as the boiler was broken. A cold shower before going out in the evening was not ideal!Although to be fair, we did receive 30% off the bill because of the lack of hot water, and a free bottle of prosecco.. However we were initially going to be charged for the 'free' prosecco, but I challenged them on this upon leaving. The hotel and especially the spa facilities were lovely, however I am far too disappointed to stay again! Too many mistakes and disappointments when you're paying over £200 a night.
We stayed here for two nights, my only regret is I did not book for longer. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well by the staff. The room was wonderful, extremely big, spacious and decorated to a high standard. The grounds are so well laid out and a pleasure to walk around. There is an excellent spa, treatments, facilities are so good.Diets are catered for and we had an amazing vegan tea and vegan meals.Thi one definitely goes on the list for s re-visit.
First visit to this excellent country retreat hotel and we were not disappointed. The four poster bed room was huge although the bathroom and the tv were a little small. The spa was fantastic and the food amazing and the lovely lady from Nepal who served us had a great attitude. The grounds were lovely especially in the beautiful weather that we enjoyed. Would thoroughly recommend staying.
Very friendly staff, decent food, tired but adequate spa. Rooms ok but dated. Room facilities ie TV tea and coffee could do with some modernising. Good location and teaming with character. The windows all round breakfast room, bed room bar etc etc. all looked like they hadn't been touched for a while. If its on a contract they need to up the frequency. Grounds excellent for an after meal walk. as all ready noted staff were excellent friendly and very helpful.
